To coincide with the Prague Biennale we present 'Lost in Time' a new project by London based Czech artist Hynek Martinec.

In 2007 Martinec won the BP Portrait Prize Young Artist Award & the Visitors Choice Award at The National Portrait Gallery. His winning painting Zuzanna in Paris Studio will be exhibited at the Prague Biennale.

Lost in Time explores the link between the past and present. In Hyneks vision fragments of Old Master paintings lie next to references to the internet, advertising and mass consumerism.

The seeds of the project were planted during his stay in Paris and developed further in London, inspired by the artists frequent visits to The National Gallery, Tate and The Royal Academy.
